Finding the best landing page paths

Background

After a downturn in performance to start off Q1 2021, Motion user Tanner dove into his reports in hopes to find a new angle of attack. One report that caught his eye in particular was a Comparative Analysis report that measured landing page paths. Diving into the breakdown, he noticed that dedicated landing pages for hero products resulted in a 34% higher return than other landing page paths (home, collection, PDP).

Tanner immediately got with his team to build out a dedicated lander for a best seller that had recently been restocked. After launching the ads on February 11th, they saw a 91% increase in their return, leading to one of the best months ever for the account.

How it's done

  1. Append landing page identifiers to your Naming Convention
  2. Create a new Comparative Analysis Report
  3. Create compare groups based on your naming convention (PDP, Home, Collection etc)
  4. (Optional) Add a global filter to isolate results by funnel stage

Once built, follow results over time to compare how your different landing page paths perform against each other!
