Speaker 1: If you're joining an existing Motion organization, there's a few different steps you're going to want to take to initially get set up and connected.
Title card with the Motion logo and text: "GET STARTED WITH MOTION" and "Joining an existing Motion organization". This fades into a screen recording of the Motion app dashboard, showing a "Top Performers" report with a bar chart. A woman appears in a small video circle in the bottom right corner.
Speaker 1: First thing to note, you're going to have been sent an email to join the organization. Make sure you go through those prompts through the email to initially connect and get synced to the proper organization. That way you don't accidentally create a secondary trial account, which can happen if you go directly through the website to join. So, join the email invite, step one.
Speaker 1: Step number two is you're going to want to connect a profile to Motion.
The cursor moves down the left-hand navigation menu and hovers over the "Admin" option at the bottom.
Speaker 1: What I mean by this is you're going to head down to the bottom left menu, account settings,
The cursor clicks "Admin", and a pop-up menu appears. The cursor then clicks on "Account settings".
Speaker 1: and underneath my connections is where you're going to list a profile for both TikTok and or Meta, depending on what type of ad accounts you'll be looking at.
An "Account" settings modal appears. The cursor clicks on "My connections" in the modal's left menu. The view changes to show the "My connections" screen, with connected accounts listed for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Northbeam.
Speaker 1: This profile here is essentially what we are looking at to see if it has permissions to the ad account. So make sure you're connecting a profile here that has been given permissions to those ad accounts on Meta or TikTok side. That way your reports load in fully.
Speaker 1: If, for example, you didn't have permissions to the ad account or you hadn't linked a profile,
The speaker closes the settings modal, returning to the "Top Performers" report.
Speaker 1: and you're trying to view some different reports within the workspace that you're looking at, you are not going to probably be able to go back past a 14 day window.
The cursor clicks on the "Last 14 days" date range filter. A calendar dropdown appears with various date range options.
Speaker 1: It's going to pop up a message saying that you need to connect a profile or get permissions. So most important thing, make sure you connect a profile that has permissions to the ad accounts you're wanting to look at in order to see the full amount of report data.
The calendar dropdown closes, and the view returns to the main report.
Speaker 1: Aside from that, you should be all set. If you run into any issues with previewing content, for example, say you're trying to watch a video and you get any permissions errors,
The cursor hovers over a creative thumbnail at the bottom of the chart, and a "Creative Insights" pop-up with a video preview appears.
Speaker 1: reach out. We can walk you through the next steps to make sure you're able to fully preview all the content and all the reports in Motion.
