Katie Russell: The problem that I was looking to solve with an AI tool was volume.

Katie Russell: Our team pushes more than 75 ads a week.

Katie Russell: So, obviously that was taking up a huge chunk of my time reviewing every single one of those ads.

Katie Russell: Your eyes just naturally stop being sharp after you've reviewed so many ads in a single day and things slip through the cracks.

Katie Russell: How Runneth works for us now is it lives in our approvals feedback channel.

Katie Russell: Our editors will upload a cut into Frame.io.

Katie Russell: They'll flag me and Runneth in Slack about it. And then we'll drop that timestamped feedback right into this Slack channel as well as the Frame.io account.
Screen recording of the Slack channel again. A user types a message tagging @Katie and @runneth, stating they've uploaded a UGC blanket ad to Frame IO for review. Runneth replies "Working..."
Split screen. On the left, a user-generated content style video plays in the Frame.io interface. On the right, the "All comments" panel shows timestamped feedback from Runneth. Comments include: "00:02:04 Opens with a strong visual hook", "00:07:12 Get more specific with the customer pain points here.", and "00:09:26 Remove this section".
Katie Russell: And then once the video's approved, it's passed on to our approved channels with the media buyers.

Katie Russell: What surprised me most about Runneth was the quality of the feedback.

Katie Russell: There's a UGC edit where Runneth said that it was too fast-paced and didn't show the product enough. So Runneth told us exactly where to cut and B-roll.
Screen recording of a "Video QA" interface. A video plays on the left showing a woman in pajamas. On the right, timestamped comments from Runneth are displayed. At 0:06, Runneth says: "This is one of the strongest ads of the batch. The hook works, the voiceover and text are aligned, and the CTA is clear. My primary flag is the missing product differentiator. Otherwise this is shippable." At 0:09: "There is no product-specific benefit stated. The voiceover and overlays communicate comfort and cuteness, but never explain what makes the clothing different (bamboo, temperature-regulating, etc.)" At 0:12: "This would be a great moment to insert a product differentiator. It would keep the script flowing and not take away from the engagement of the previous section."
Katie Russell: And I thought, you know what? That's great feedback. Let's do it. And I think the ad is so much better now. The moment Runneth really proved itself to me is when I went out of town for a week. Normally I'd have to find somebody to cover reviews for me. But this time I told the team Runneth's got it.
Screen recording of a Slack channel named "#approved-ready-to-ship". Katie has posted a message: "Hi team, if you need anything while I'm OOO, just ask @runneth".
Katie Russell: And if Runneth says it's good to go, it's good to go.
Text appears on a white background: "If Runneth says it's good to go". The text then animates to reveal the rest of the sentence: "it's good to go."
Katie Russell: Runneth is super helpful at unbiasing the process for me.

Katie Russell: The ads that you like spend the most time on and like make beautifully and like are so confident in are never the ones that actually win.
A row of five smartphones appears, each playing a different video ad for Cozy Earth products.

Katie Russell: Runneth helps take the biases out of our ads.

Katie Russell: And obviously there's still human taste that has to go into it. And second, it's giving me way more time for higher altitude work.

Katie Russell: And not necessarily having to spend time on the things that don't require huge amounts of brain power, but do definitely take up a lot of my time.
